THE BUHARI ADMINISTRATION HAS BUILT THE NDIC ACADEMY IN ABUJA!
Visit do you know NG…!
To raise the bar of professionalism and expertise in the banking and finance sector of Nigeria’s economy, do you know that the Buhari administration has built the Nigerian Depositors Insurance Company (NDIC) Academy in Abuja, and that the academy has commenced operations with more than 13,000 professionals already trained?
The academy was certified in 2016, and has been running its trainings at an adhoc location until March 2020 when it moved into its permanent structure that was built and furnished by the administration, from where it now trains workers from the NDIC itself, the EFCC, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Assets Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON), the National Pensions Commission (PENCOM) and the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).
The Academy was established by the Buhari administration to serve as a center of excellence for Africa and Asia sub-regions on safety-net issues in fulfillment of its core mandate of cash deposit guarantee, bank supervision, bank distress resolution and bank liquidation, all aimed at boosting public confidence in the banking industry. And as an initiative that will guarantee public confidence in a critical aspect of Nigeria’s socioeconomic life, this facility is commendable.
Yes, Nigeria is on track!
