Katsina state Commissioner of Environment, Alhaji Hamza Sule Faskari has supported 3104 vulnerable persons in four local governments areas of the state with N23 million.
The support was specifically given to the beneficiaries to ease their financial hardship during the Ramadan period.
Speaking in an occasion to hand over the support to the beneficiaries, weekend in Faskari, Alhaji Hamza Sule disclosed that the benefiaries were carefully selected from Faskari, Sabuwa, Kankara, Dandume and some parts of Funtua local governments.
He added ” we are here to compliment the efforts of our leader, Katsina state governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari in alleviating people’s suffering especially during the Holy month of Ramadan”.
Faskari similarly thanked Allah and Katsina state governor for the improvement of security in the troubled areas of the state.
” Governor Masari has been showing concerns over the insecurity in our area. His government has been doing its best to make sure normalcy is returned in the area” he said
He therefore called on residents to use the special month of Ramadan to pray for leaders, security agencies and for peace to return to the area.
Faskari also thanked the wife of the state governor, Hajiya Hadiza Aminu Bello Masari who personally attended the occasion.
In a remark, the vice-chairman APC, Funtua zone, Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa commended the commissioner for the kind gesture.
He said ” Hamza is not the only one appointed from our zone, but he has proved to be one among equals. This is the fifth time he was providing support for his constituents”.
Musawa noted that Hamza is not only commissioner for Funtua zone as according to him “his kind gesture has covered the entire parts Katsina of Katsina state”.
Also speaking, Special adviser to the state governor on social interventions, Alhaji Abdulqadir Mammam Nasir has hailed the commissioner for intervening in supporting the vulnerable poor in the state.
Nasir further disclosed that the state governor has set-up a committee to conduct a census of women and orphans affected by the security challenges in the state with a view of supporting them.
