A US court of Appeals sitting in Marryland has found pastor of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Lawrence Adetunji liable for participating in a civil conspiracy of wrongfully converting his church property and bank accounts.
In a statement, Collins Edomaruse, Media aide to MFM General Overseer, disclosed that, the embattled pastor, his wife, Ronke, and 11 others conspired and converted the church to a personal property and stashed the money belonging to the church to his personal account.
Recall that, Adetunji and his co-conspirators filed a petition for Writ of Certiorari in the Maryland Court of appeals seeking review of the opinion of the court of special appeals sitting in Maryland.
However, chief judge Joseph M. Getty of the US appeals court upon considering the petition for a Writ of Certiorari to the court of special appeals has on the 22nd Oct. 2021 ordered that , the petition be, and is been denied as there has been no showing that the review is desirable and in the public interest.
Some of the MFM court property used by Pastor Adetunji are located at 5503 and 5506, Church Road in Bowie as well as the bank accounts to create his church known as Christ the Truth Ministries.
