MASARI TO ASSIST ASSOCIATION IN BUILDING SECTERIAT

Governor Aminu Bello Masari has expressed the resolve to assist the Association of Katsina people residents in Kano to conduct an appeal launch for the construction of a permanent Secretariat in Kano.
Alhaji Aminu Masari was speaking when he received the chairman of Katsinawa and Daurawa residents in Kano led by the chairman, Alhaji Ila Danmaliki during a courtesy call at government house, Katsina.
The Governor assured that the state government would contribute meaningfully during the appeal fund at a later time.
He requested the leadership to coordinate the Appeal fund launch through the office of the secretary to government of Katsina state.
He announced that the state government would not single handedly construct the Secretariat for fear of subsequent administrations taking over the building, saying that the Association needed to have absolute control over the ownership of the Secretariat. He assured that he will personally attend the appeal fund launch in Kano, adding that the state government will contribute towards mobilizing people not only from Katsina but Kano state too.
Alhaji Aminu Masari announced that the state government would assist them to appoint a Grand Patron following the demise of the former, late Alhaji Iro Maitaya.
He said that the leadership of the Association needed to collaborate with the state government in fishing out a Grand Patron for the successful coordination of activities of the Association in Kano.
On the recently concluded election into the executive officers of the Association, Alhaji Aminu Masari asked the new leadership to Carry along those who lost in the contest.
He assured that the state government would continue to support and monitor the activities of the Association, which has large followership of Katsinawa and Daurawa in Kano.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Ila Danmaliki told the Governor that they were in Katsina to register solidarity with the state government.
In addition, he said that they were in Katsina to condoled with the state government over the death of the Grand Patron of the Association in Kano, Alhaji Iro Maitaya who had left a vaccum that would be difficult to fill.
Alhaji Ila Danmaliki revealed that the Kano state government had donated a plot of land for the construction of a permanent Secretariat for the Association.
He requested the Governor to consider the construction of the Secretariat for the Association.
He also asked Governor Masari to assist in getting a Grand Patron for the Association, adding that the new Grand Patron should be accommodating as has been with the earstwhile leader, Late Alhaji Iro Maitaya otherwise called Alhaji Iro Kurfi.
He assured that the leadership of the Association would continue to support the administration of Governor Aminu Bello Masari to deliver on its mandate.
