Gov. Aminu Bello-Masari of Katsina State has called on wealthy individuals and groups to invest much on education through the sponsorship of youths to go to school.
, Masari made the call on Saturday during an award ceremony organised by the Tsohuwar Kasuwa, Albaba and Gworon gida (TAG) Communities in Local Government Area
The governor explained that the call was necessary so that those youths that can not afford to go to school can benefit from such support.
“According to Masari, only sincere investment in Education can give chance to our teeming youths to further their Education at all levels.
“Educating our youths is as good.as reducing banditry activities in the state and the country in general”,
Masari said both wealthy individuals and groups can play a vital role through willingly donating and sponsoring youth to further their education in their various communities.
“He expressed joy over the level of assistance offered to over 30 students by the tsohuwar kasuwa, Albaba ,Gworon gida,,( TAG)
“The state Deputy governor who is also a member of tsohuwar kasuwa ,Albaba , Gworon Gida, (TAG) said the Association was formed 40 Years ago With the aim of assisting the People in the area with Educational, Health and agricultural facilities for self-reliance.
“He said members in the group include six Professors, Army General, clerk to the Senate, wealthy individuals and high level women.
“Over 40 individuals who sustained their support in moving the association forward were given an award by the official as a way of encouragement and appreciation for their good work.
“Among. the recipients of the award were the state’s governor, his Deputy and a Business Mogul Alh Dahiru Barau-mangal among others.”
