The Rural access and Agricultural marketing project (RAAMP) Katsina state received an award of excellence for being the first state to start civil work construction among the 19 participating states in the country.
The state project coordinator Engr Falalu Hussaini collected the award on behalf of the katsina state project implementation unit (SPIU) after the just concluded 4th implementation support mission of Rural access and Agricultural marketing project (RAAMP) at the Palms Hotel Abuja.
The Road construction started following the ground breaking ceremony of 24.5 Danja-Bazanga-Nahuce demonstration road on the 1st September 22.
Among the 19 participating states that received an award also at the Mission was Kebbi state for being the first state to pass the Road sector reform Bills in to law.
The National project coordinator Engr Aminu Bodinga Mohammed commended the two states and enjoined the other states to follow their footsteps. The National coordinator also stated at the mission that henceforth, awards will be giving to every state that performs better.
Also at the mission, the TTL Mr. Rakesh Tripathi advice the States project implementation units ( SPIUs) , especially the Gender based violence officers (GBV) to be very vigilant in their work and to coutioned the contractors and the labourers to be extra careful with regards to the women and children of the community , as any case of sexual harassment can result to cancelling of the project completely.
