The Katsina State PDP Campaign Council has re-iterated that PDP in Katsina is one family with no splinter or faction what so ever.

From the official records, Salisu Uli was appointed Acting State PDP Chairman by the NWC.

This is in consonance with the PDP Constitution which has always been put into use and is accepted by all loyal party members without any qualms or complaint.

During the recent PDP campaign tour in Mashi/Dutsi federal constituency Hon. Salisu Majigiri was duly recognized and his slogan was chanted throughout the campaign activities.

The position he is contesting for, was accorded to him through a waiver on the recent PDP campaign in the whole of Daura Senatorial zone there was no single hitch recorded and an overwhelming crowd gathered in Sandamu, Baure, Maiadu’a, Zango, Daura and all the other eight local governments which was been unprecedented.

The PDP campaign council hereby appreciates the warm reception, support and loyalty exhibited by the good people of Daura Senatorial zone during itrally in the area.

On the continued attacks being levelled on Katsina PDP gubernatorial candidate Senator Yakubu Lado by one Sabo Musa alleging that he is an indigene of Kano State, Let Sabo Musa remember in case he has forgotten that he himself is from far away Kafanchan in Kaduna State and by extension a blood relation to Sheikh Yakubu Musa who until lately had “Kafanchan as his third name which he stylishly dropped and replaced it with ‘Hassan’.

Let him also know that Yakubu Lado was born and bred in Katsina. He was not religiously smuggled into the state unlike Sabo Musa and katanchan brothers.

Now, the simple question is ‘who is closer to Katsina between Kano which is just about 180kms away than Kafanchan in Kaduna State which is over 400kms away from Katsina?”.

And for the records, Sen. Yakubu Lado’s Father had been known as a large scale farmer and a philanthropist as well as a full pledged business man who contributed immensely to the economic development of the whole Katsina State in so many ways.

On the just concluded town hall meeting in Katsina organized by well-meaning individuals in collaboration with the Daily Trust Newspapers and other media outlets which enabled the gubernatorial contestants to speak directly to the electorates, the Katsina PDP campaign council appreciate the value emanated from the meeting which gave an upper hand and a clear opportunity to our candidates to explain himself in a broader perspective on govermance.

This clearly led Sen. Yakubu Lado to receive a standing ovation and applause trom the mammoth gathering in whose presence the debate began and ended peacefully.

While appreciating the organizers for hosting the wonderful event, Sen. Yakubu Lado is assuring the good people of Katsina State that, given the chance he will use his vast experience and talents in governance, legislature and business skills to assemble seasoned technocrats and citizens of the state in running an open and receptive government for the development of Katsina State.

The Chairman of PDP campaign council Sen. Ibrahim Tsauri has said it loudly and clearly times without number that former Governor lbrahim Shema remains the PDP leader in Katsina State.

It is in this light the campaign council is also appreciating the foresight of Governor Shema in spearheading and encouraging Sen. Lado to contest the PDP gubernatorial election in Katsina State twice; first in 2019 and second in 2023.

This is in appreciation of Sen. Yakubu Lado’s sterling qualities and uprightness.

Director, PDP Media Campaign Council
Alh. Kabir Yusuf Yar’adua
