Katsina State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists-NUJ- felicitates with with it’s National President Chief Chris Isuguzo for the conferment of a National Honour of “Member of the Federal Republic” MFR by President Muhammadu Buhari
Similarly, the NUJ felicitates with it’s Katsina State Grand Patron Professor Sani Abubakar Lugga also for his conferment of the same MFR by the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria retired General Muhammadu Buhari.
The conferment of these same National Honour to these two famous icons is a clear testimony of their hard work, dedication and selfless service to humanity.
We are confident that the conferment of this National Honour of the “MFR” to these leaders will add colour to the beauty of Journalism as Noble and respected profession.
The Katsina State Council of NUJ is highly proud to be associated with Prof Sani Abubakar Lugga (the fifth Waziri of Katsina) for his contribution in no small measure to the development of Journalism as well as playing a fatherly role to Journalists in Katsina State.
To the NUJ National President Chief Chris Isuguzo, we believe that the cap of MFR fits him perfectly especially as he was recently elected as the President of the Confederation of African Journalists (CAJ).
Our Union equally congratulates other indigenes of Katsina State who were bestowed with various National Awards that includes; Alh. Dahiru Bara’u Mangal, Alh. Mamman Daura, Ambassador Ahmed Rufa’i Abubakar, Engineer Nura Rafindadi, Alh. Sabi’u Yusuf Tunde and the rest of other recipients of the honour.
We prayed that the deserving honour awarded them will be an immense benefit to the general people of Katsina State.
The Katsina State NUJ therefore thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for for honouring it’s National leadership and called on government at all level to as a matter of urgency ensure improvement of welfare of working Journalists.
