The Katsina State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 15 persons for allegedly being in possession of tracking devices suspected to be used to hack into Saturday’s election results from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Gambo Isa, said the suspects were arrested with computers and certain electronic devices.
”Police is conducting investigation and the outcome of it will be made clear to everybody.
“We invited experts and they are doing their work to see the system to ascertain actually what is in the place because of its sensitivity,” Isa said.
Reports described the suspects as party agents, “using their situation room” to hack into the election results.
The suspects are being detained at the police headquarters, awaiting conclusion of the investigations.
