Still in hot pursuit of its determination to make Nigeria one of the leading rice producers in the world, all due to its agricultural revolution that is steadily yielding successes, do you know that the Buhari administration is currently giving 18,000 rice farmers in Taraba State some incentives that will enable them grow the crop in the oncoming dry season farming?
This was made known by the Chairman of the Taraba State branch of Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN), Mallam Tanko Bobo Andame, during a media interview where he disclosed that the administration is distributing the incentives through the Anchor Borrowers Programme, and that they came right on time to enable them begin the 2021/2022 dry season rice farming.
With incentives such as maximum yield rice seedlings, fertilizer, herbicides and cash grants being doled out to them, these 18,000 rice farmers will no doubt help in a very big way to raise the rice stock of the nation, specifically in the next couple of months. And, of course, their own financial returns will grow in leaps, thereby resulting in a considerable improvement of the country’s economy.
Yes, Nigeria is on track!
