Muhammad Danjuma Katsina is a successful journalist and author. He started his journalism in 1990, as editor of wisdom magazine a publication of Muslim student society (MSS) Ahmadu Bello University(ABU), Zaria Kaduna state, Nigeria. He attended so many courses and training on journalism and writing. Includes BBC world service training trust (on election coverage)
He was a recipient of many awards and commendations on journalism and writing.
Among which are ABU Zaria,Kungiyar Habaka Hausa 1999.Hausa authors forum 2007, Award of Honor by Katsina Legal Aid Council Clinic, 2009/2010, Commonwealth Youths Council ( youth campaign against election violence) 2015, Katsina Heroes Award( Excellence in Journalism) 2016 and Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA) Kano state chapter 2018.
He was mentioned as one of the unsung heroes of Nigeria by daily trust newspapers 2018.These are few to mentions.
He held many positions with Nigeria union of journalists ( NUJ) katsina state council. Includes vice chairman, Katsina state Council and acting chairman of the Council.
He is a member of Nigeria Union of Journalists.( NUJ), International Press institute (IPI) Guild of corporate online publishers( GOCOP) and Association of Nigeria Authors. (ANA)
He was the author of ten books including Katsina historical sites and monuments.
Danjuma, was among the pillars who established Alqalam university katsina, the first community University in Nigeria, the first private University in Northern Nigeria and the first Islamic University in Nigeria.
He is co ordinator, katsina vocational training centre. The pioneer skills acquisitions centre which was established by late Alhaji MDyusufu in 2000.Thousands of youths benefited from the centre in Katsina state.
His writing in encourages the floating of Mangal Airline now Max Air owned by business tycoon Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal.
