KATSINA – Alhaji Mohammed Lawal Aliyu Daura, the state Special Adviser, Human Capital Development has been elected as the new Chairman of the Alumni Association of the National Institute, AANI, Katsina State chapter.
Aliyu lead other ten executive members to run the affairs of the association for the next two years in the state.
Other elected members include DIG Yakubu Mohammed vice Chairman, Dr Kabir Matazu- Secretary-General, Aminu Abu-Bazariye as Assistant Secretary-General, Kabir Abubakar Treasurer and Alhaji Labiru Musa Kafur as the PRO.
The rest are Suleiman Abdullahi Financial Secretary, Bashir Mohammed Welfare/Social Secretary, Usman Safana Internal Auditor, AIG Danlami Yar’Adua Legal, and Alhaji Usman K. Bello as Chairman Heritage, Katsina state chapter.
Addressing the new executive members in Katsina on Sunday, the National Vice President of AANI, Ambassador Obi Okafor charged the new executive to strive to contribute towards the development of the state.
Okafor who noted that, the association would soon organize a unity confab to find solutions to the numerous security situations confronting the countr, urged them to key into the programme by ensuring strong advocacy to solve the problems of the state.
According to him, with the numbers of members of the association in the state, it is time to contribute to the development of the people and state towards improving the standards of living.
He commended the members for a rancour free election exercise and prayed Allah to guide them to excel in their new assignment.
In an acceptance speech, Alhaji Mohammed Lawal Aliyu, the new AANI Chairman of the state chapter, commended the efforts of the national officers for conducting and ensuring a free and fair elections.
Aliyu while challenging members of the new executive to strive to ensure desired unity to ensure commitment to improve the situation and enhance the living standards of the people across the state.
He also solicited for the support and cooperation of all members to enable them achieve the goals of the association in the state.
On his part, Alhaji Usman K. Bello, the district head of Ketare and the state chairman of the Association’s Heritage, called on Governor Aminu Bello Masari to make good use of the brains that abounds in the association to better the lot in the state.
