PRESS BRIEFING BY SP GAMBO ISAH, PPRO, ON BEHALF OF THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, KATSINA STATE COMMAND, CP SANUSI BUBA, psc, HELD ON WEDNESDAY 11/11/2021 AT THE COMMAND HEADQUARTERS, KATSINA

Good afternoon Gentlemen of the Press. I have the pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Katsina state Command, CP Sanusi Buba, psc, to Katsina state Police Command Headquarters for yet another Press briefing.
ARREST/SMASHING OF A NOTORIOUS SYNDICATE OF FRAUDSTERS THAT SPECIALIZES IN DEFRAUDING UNSUSPECTING MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH SALE OF FAKE EMPLOYMENT/APPOINTMENT LETTERS AND PLOTS OF LAND: On 1/11/2021, the Command succeeded in busting a syndicate of fraudsters that specializes in defrauding unsuspecting members of the public through the sale of fake employment/appointment letters and plots of land. The fact of the case was that sometimes in the month of March, 2021, the duo of one Ibrahim Bello, alias “Ibra”, ‘M’, aged 44yrs of Saulawa Quarters, Katsina and Ibrahim Abdullahi, alias “Baba Iro”, ‘M’, aged 50yrs of Unguwar Yari Quarters, Katsina, were deceitfully introduced to the victim, one Khadija Adamu, ‘f’, aged 34yrs of Kofar-Sauri Quarters, Katsina, by one Musa Abba (now at large) and convinced her that they are very important personalities in Abuja, who supply job employment offers of Paramilitaries and other Government Ministries such Nigerian Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Customs Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Inland Revenue Services, Department of Petroleum (DPR), and ECOWAS. The suspects at various intervals, deceitfully collected money totalling the sum of twelve million, nine hundred and seventy-five naira from Khadija Adamu with intent to provide job employments to her unsuspecting victims. In the course of investigation, fake employment letters and various letter head papers belonging to many government and corporate organizations were recovered from their possessions. Suspects confessed to have specialized in making and offering forged documents as genuine and also selling of plots of land in Katsina with fake documents to unsuspecting members of the public as genuine. The Command urges members of the public to report any person or group of persons found parading themselves as agents of any organization offering juicy offers of employments for cash. It is criminal to sale any government’s job employment offers. Investigation is ongoing.
ARREST OF SUSPECTED FUEL SUPPLIERS TO BANDITS AND RECOVERY OF ONE TRAILER MOTOR VEHICLE LOADED WITH LOG OF WOODS: On 30/10/2021 at about 2030hr, Police Safer Highway Patrol, along Funtua – Zaria road, accosted the duo of one Hassan Adamu, ‘M’, aged 36yrs of Jahun village, Bauchi state and Shamsu Abdullahi, ‘M’, aged 35yrs of Daki Tara, Zamfara state with a motor vehicle, Truck, Man Diezel, red in colour with reg. No. BUU 72 XW, loaded with logs of fire wood, contrary to the security challenges containment order issued by the state.
Similarly, today 11/11/2021 at about 0900hrs, the Command accosted the duo of one Aminu Ibrahim, ‘M’, aged 33yrs of Masanawa Quarters, Katsina and Abdulaziz Sani, ‘M’, aged 28yrs of Kofar Guga Quarters, Katsina, with a motor vehicle Honda, Hennessey, ash in colour, with reg. No. KTS 729 EL, with five hundred and ten (510) litres of Petrol, concealed in a polythene bags, suspected to be supplies to bandits and contrary to the security challenges containment order issued by the state.
