Do you know that the Buhari administration has just concluded the rehabilitation of 10 roads in Kebbi State under the Special Maintenance, Repairs and Intervention of Covid-19 Projects, which was initiated by the administration?
The conclusion of these projects were made known on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 by the State’s Maintenance Engineer of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Mr. Rilwanu Usman who said the projects were done in recognition of their huge economic and agricultural benefits to the people of the State.
Among the 10 roads rehabilitated are the access road to the Adamu Augie College of Education in Argungu; Lailaba – Yeldu Phase I; Malando – Ngaski – Warra road; the Tuga – Ka’oje road; the Argungu – Bui road; the Birnin Kebbi – Jega – Sokoto road, and the failed section of the Kalgo – Bunza – Kamba road.
While the repairs of these roads are a great relief to road users in that part of the country, it must however be stated that the projects created hundreds of jobs as well as business opportunities for dealers of construction materials in the State, which underscores their economic importance.
